The Holy Supper is kept indeed,
In whatso we share with another's need-
Not that which we give, but what we share,
For the gift without the giver is bare;
Who bestows himself with his alms feeds three,
Himself, his hungering neighbour, and Me.

It is no great matter to associate with the good and gentle for this is naturally pleasing to all. But to be able to live peaceably with hard and peverse persons, or with the disorderly, or with such as go contrary to us, is a grace and a most commendable thing.
