Most good jockeys never look to be doing anything extraordinary, it's done simply and with a matter-of-
factness, almost without thinking. I believe it was Hazlitt who said, "We never do anything well till we cease to think about the manner of doing it".
It is the gift of the real professional to make a difficult thing look easy, and so that is why so many great jockeys never look to be doing anything extraordinary.
